5 Subjects I would Love To Study

Study is a great way to broaden the mind and give you more opportunities for the future. There are many subjects I would love to study at least one. They are listed in the order of interest, or what I love most.

1. Graphic Design

Graphic Design

Graphic design is such an exciting field and rather unlimited in the type of work that is available. Design for web and print have hundreds of categories under them. The reason why I would love to study graphic design is because I have a love for it, but know that their are many areas that I could improve, both in my approach to designing and in also my methods behind the current designs I do create.

2. Photography

Photography

I love photography and the reason why I would love to study it, would be to broaden my mind on the possible and impossible and how to challenge both. I am only at an amateur level at the moment, but continue to try and improve both the way I approach what I intend to photograph and how I can attach feeling and emotion to the atmosphere I am in.

Level:  Bachelor of Arts (Photography) – University
Duration: 3 / 7 Years
Where: CSU

3. Creative Writing

Writing

I love to write and I would love to be able to learn techniques that can assist in turning what I love into something that others would love too (hopefully). If I ever did decide to do this, I think I would need to do a big brush up on grammar and learn to write without a spell checker….. oh bother.

Level: Bachelor of Arts (Professional Writing and Publishing) – University
Duration: 3 Years
Where: OUA

4. Visual Arts

Art

I love art, but I do not know enough about fine art to really appreciate it properly. To be able to study it and have a deeper and thorough understanding would be incredible.

Level: Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art and Visual Culture) – University
Duration: 3 Years
Where: OUA

5.  Psychology

Psychology

I often find myself thinking about people and what drives them to do, act, speak, move and function in a certain way. I would love to be able to really have a greater insight into the human mind and the way that we are humans function in a mental capacity. It would be a form of study that would really affect you in a different way and used in everyday life, not just a working capacity.

Level: Bachelor of Behavioural Studies (Psychology) – University
Duration 3 Years
Where: OUA

What would you love to study/or currently studying?  >.<

A lot of those subjects are really interesting. I hope that you can take part in Nanowrimo this year. I will no doubt try again, I have been for years. One day I might actually make it. :D

With the way that the economy is nowadays, it’s hard to find decent jobs unless you have at least a masters and 5-10 years of experiences. Of course, it all depends on where you live and who you know, but that seems to be the tend in the bigger, more popular city.

Once upon a time, I wanted to study all of those things you put, but I had to be realistic. They are fun majors, but the job market for them are very low. I live in Northern California and there are a lot of competitions with so many people wanting the same job you do. Even as a science major, it was hard for me to live in a city like this and gain experience. I had to leave the city, go somewhere where the number of educated people is low and develop my skills there.

Sometimes it is difficult and I agree that you do have to be realistic plus also know the reasons why you want to study and where you want to go in your life. If you can take the load of doing a double major you could use one as something to really help your career and another that is also helpful but that is a big interest, and that way if you decide to just focus on career or branch off into the interest you can do either. Having said that, doing a double major would be hard.
