kikki.K Planner

I have finally taken the plunge and joined the planner community, with my new kikki.K Planner.

I had been considering getting a planner for some time and always admired many of the designs available on kikki.K, but never found one that I thought ‘omg need’. Until, I saw the Vänskap (cats) collection. So much awesome, I couldn’t resist. I also decided to get a few extra things, like some pens, stickers, post its, planner kit and sticker book. I don’t like having a diary or journal that is really large, so I felt the medium size was the best option. I love it!

Veeeery image heavy.

New Handbag and Purse

Last week, instead of saving money for Uni books I splurged on a new handbag and purse. ?

The handbag and purse are from Colette by Colette Hayman. I didn’t intentionally plan on buying them, but I wondered into the store and kept looking at them. I left the store, but had to go back to get them. The Handbag was $70 AUD and the purse with 50% off was $15 AUD. $70 is the most I have ever spent on a handbag, in fact this is actually the first ‘adult’ handbag and purse that I own. I have always had tote or messenger bags and random cute wallets. I just hope it’s not the start of a handbag addiction…..

Ring Obsession

I have a slight obsession with rings. Especially silver rings that are either in unique shapes or look like animals…

I recently went on a little bender with jewellery and purchased a number of items from Equip and eBay. Most of these items are rings, but I had to include a few necklaces and earrings to make it interesting. :P Prices ranged from $1 to $6 (AUD) after scouring the sale bin on Equip and finding bargains on eBay.

Let the ring magic begin (very image heavy).

A new direction

I made a decision to apply to study a degree in Communication Design with Swinburne Online.

I am very interested in this course because it covers many modern design techniques and photography (!). I had to submit a design portfolio with different works I had created and explain my communication and design objective, which was an interesting task. I also had to include a personal statement that gives them an idea if this degree is right for you (I hope they think so). I am a little nervous about it, because I have not studied since 2010 (wow).

I know that this will be a good opportunity for me and give me direction and solid goals. Even if I am not approved for this degree, I am going to find another one (such as Internet Communications that I had started in 2010). For many years I have been floating and not really sure where I was heading. I like to think that this is the start of a new phase that has many wonderful opportunities.
